What you need to keep your brain healthy: Fitness tips from a neurosurgeon

A neurosurgeon discovered on Monday that certain lifestyle changes can help maintain good mental health.

That’s what he said.Surgeon General Dr. Tripathi said there are some things everyone should keep in mind to maintain mental health.  

“Check your weight.The right weight depends on your age and body mass index,” says Tripathi, director of the Neuroscience Institute.

Warns against weight gain.

Tripathi mentions a few other reasons.”Eat a balanced diet, sleep at least six to seven hours a day and avoid nicotine.Check your blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels,” says Tripathi, deputy director of Medica Super Specialty Hospital.

The hospital organized the event to mark World Brain Day on Monday, July 22.

When someone has a stroke, certain symptoms will appear. If a person shows any symptoms, family, friends and acquaintances should immediately transfer him to a hospital, especially one that specializes in treating stroke patients.

“Memorize the word quickly,” says Tripathi.

Lists warning signs, including F for facial weakness, A for arm weakness, S for slurred speech and T for timing.

Stroke centers should include neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroradiologists, intensivists, and emergency physicians.Pathology laboratories should be equipped with MRI and CT machines.
